Does B&P Deliver?

We can deliver chocolates, pantry items and gift boxes Australia wide via express Australia Post.

Our cakes and desserts are delicate and require special handling. We offer delivery to selected suburbs via Uber Passenger Vehicles. This is an effective, efficient and affordable service but in all cases the recipient will be responsible to meet the delivery driver at his vehicle.

Please note we reserve the right to cancel any order where delivery expectations do not match our capabilities

The Process is simple.

When booking a delivery, you must,

  • provide an Australia mobile number for the recipient
  • ensure that the delivery address provided is correct.
  • Choose an appropriate delivery window.

One day prior, we will contact the recipient via text to confirm the details and timing.

On the day – we contact the recipient via phone to confirm that they are ready to receive the delivery.

We then book an Uber and once the order is on the way we share the trip status link to the recipient’s mobile.

The recipient must follow the drivers progress and be ready to meet the car kerbside.

Drivers will not leave the vehicles to make deliveries.

We cannot offer deliveries to restaurants, venues, hospitals or any location requiring the driver to deliver inside a building.

In some cases, we can arrange an alternate delivery method, please call 03 9827 7060 to discuss your particular needs.

How should I transport my cake?

It’s important to remember that your Burch & Purchese cake is a delicate and perishable product ie: should be kept refrigerated. To ensure the quality of your cake is not compromised during transportation, we recommend that you keep your cake box flat at all times and avoid placing it in direct sunlight. The floor or boot of your car is the best place, never on the back seat and ensure your boxes are secure and will not slide around. If you plan to travel long distances with your cakes, we recommend you bring a cooler bag or esky, especially through the warmer months!

Once your cake is in your care it is important to follow these instructions, as Burch & Purchese will not take responsibility for any damage incurred during transportation.

Nuts and other Allergies None of our products contain raw egg. All of our products are handcrafted in an environment that contains nuts, gluten, eggs, dairy and soy, therefore contact with these ingredients may occur.

How do I portion my cake?

We recommend that you cut your cake with a sharp knife that has been warmed in hot water and dried before using. To achieve professional results, repeat this process every time you wish to cut a portion.
