On Sunday evening (20.03.22), along the colonnades of the iconic Melbourne’s GPO stretched a long dining table ready to welcome guests, inspire generosity and celebrate Melbourne as we came together to raise funds and awareness for Cancer Council’s initiative to eliminate cervical cancer from Victoria. This Melbourne moment was lead by the Melbourne GPO which is owned by ISPT and managed by JLL.
Guests gathered on the stairs, sipping cocktails created by Melbourne Gin Company, revelling in a glorious autumn afternoon and listening to the melodic talents of Angel Barallon - a regular feature of the Bourke St Mall busker line up.
Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Sally Capp welcomed guests and set the tone for the evening ahead before inviting guests to enter the colonnade and find their seat at the table.
The magical setting was amplified by the dining experience ahead. The menu was created by Vue de Monde executive chef Hugh Allen and dessert by Darren Purchese and our talented crew at B&P.
Dessert was 'Melbourne Magic' a stunning geometric design celebrating Melbourne's love of coffee!
Cancer Council Victoria has established the Eliminating Cervical Cancer Fund to help eliminate cervical cancer in Victoria within the next 6 - 8 years. Achieving this goal will make Victoria the first jurisdiction in the world to eliminate cervical cancer from its community.
The evening was a success, fundraising $56,500, through an auction and pledges made on the night.
